In order to achieve better comparability among EU Member States; the 2010 Zaragoza declaration agreed on a set of common indicators which were further developed in the study Indicators of immigrant integration — a pilot study of 2011. Additional indicators were proposed by the report Using EU Indicators of Immigrant Integration — final report prepared for DG Migration and Home Affairs of 2013; with the objective of boosting the monitoring and assessment of the situation of migrants; along with the relative outcomes of integration policies.
