IDMC Global Internal Displacement Database

The Global Internal Displacement Database (GIDD) provides estimates on internal displacement at the country level. It aims to provide comprehensive information on internal displacement worldwide. The following data is available:

  • Internal displacement associated with conflict and generalized violence (since 1998);
  • Displacement associated with sudden-onset natural hazard-related disasters (since 2008).

IDMC compiles information from national governments; international organizations and NGOs; media and field missions.
